News Flash......Now you can learn to fly with Bruce Bohannon!
Train with the best when you fly with 35-time World Record Setter Bruce Bohannon. Whether it's emergency procedures, tail dragger endorsement or full Private Pilot training; you will enjoy individualized instruction. Everyone learns differently and Bruce has a knack for finding the best way to reach each student.
Bruce's primary trainer is a 2007 American Legend Cub. It's the perfect aircraft for taildragger check outs and for learning to fly. With all of the modern navigation & communication equipment of a new plane and the charm and flight characteristics of the venerable Piper Cub, The Legend Cub is a delight to fly.
But that's just part of the fun of flying out of Bruce Bohannon's airport, Flyin' Tiger Field (81D). Located about 25 miles south of Houston off Hwy 288 near Angleton, Flyin' Tiger Field is a 93 acre country airport with two finely manicured grass strips. It's a pilot's dream and an experience you'll never forget. A triangular pond sits between the two runways and the windsock is located on a kidney shaped island in the middle. There are trees at the south end of the runways, but not even a fenceline obscures the north ends. It's just you, the airplane and the sky in a country setting that harkens back to the golden years of flight.
